Joslyn is a college instructor and licensed massage therapist, herbalist,  Ayurvedic lifestyle consultant, and aromatherapist.  She is also an amateur photographer, passionate naturalist, gardener, and chef.   Her skill-set comes from a cumulative and eclectic blend of her personal and professional practices, experiences, studies,  training, and education over the past 30 years. A native New Englander, she recently transplanted to the Hudson Valley, NY from Vt via Virginia, with her family. ​

 

As a healing arts practitioner, Joslyn's focus is on integrating constitutional wellness with  massage therapy & bodywork in which massage is employed as direct and primary means of holistic treatment. 

Her approach involves integrating the practical wisdom and sophisitcation of traditional Ayurveda with the art and science of Western herbalism, aromatherapy, and massage therapy. While she offers traditional Western massage sessions- such as Swedish and Musculoskeletal- her specialities include: Ayurvedic massage & bodywork, Holistic Aromatherapeutic massage & bodywork, and Integrative massage & bodywork  treatments for both general wellness and clinical applications.

As Joslyn is committed to the 'power of plants' as being fundamental to any  nature-based healing protocol, she uses only ethically sourced, organic, food grade, mininally processed massage oils, herbal oils, essential oils, hydrosols, and ingredients in her practice, and makes her own formulations from scratch wherever- and whenever- possible and applicable.
